How placements operate
- All roles are voluntary and unpaid because Innishvilla AFC is a volunteer-led community club.
- Students under 18 require parent or guardian involvement and age-appropriate duties.
- All mentors are Garda vetted, and club safeguarding procedures apply at all times.
- There is no unsupervised private one-to-one contact between adults and minors; communication uses club-approved transparent channels.
- The club can work with schools, Transition Year coordinators and relevant professional bodies to formalise placements where required.
- Placement availability depends on suitable work, supervision capacity, club approval and any required consent or documentation.
Safeguarding
Roles involving children or young people are subject to the club’s safeguarding, vetting, training and supervision requirements. Volunteers must use approved club communication channels.
